  Jerry Crasnick just broke the news via his twitter that the Padres are signing the 41 year old Canadian Matt Stairs to a minor league deal. Mike Jacobs only shares two of those qualities. But he hit one for the Boston Red Sox.

  Winter Classic at Fenway Park. He did win two games in the World Series last year. Matt Stairs makes the Padres he will set the record for most traveled player in major league history as the Padres will be his twelfth team. And 122 for the Oakland Athletics.
